Managing Your QR Codes
The QRelix dashboard is your command center for every QR code you've created. Update destinations on the fly, organize codes by campaign, duplicate codes for variations, and control which codes are active — all without reprinting a single thing.

Updating Content and Redirecting
Every QRelix QR code is dynamic, which means you can change where it points at any time. This is one of the most powerful features of the platform — especially for printed codes that can't be physically changed.
How to update a QR code's destination:
- Open your dashboard.
- Select the QR code you want to update.
- Click Edit.
- Change the URL, file, contact details, or whatever content is associated with the code.
- Click Save.
Changes take effect immediately. The next person to scan that code sees the new content — no reprinting, no delay.
Redirect an Existing QR Code
Already have a QR code printed on materials — business cards, flyers, menus, packaging — and need to change where it goes? This is exactly what dynamic QR codes are built for. Just edit the destination in your dashboard and the printed code now redirects to the new URL. This saves the cost and time of reprinting.
If you have a static QR code from another platform that you can't redirect, use QRelix's Mirrored QR type to recreate it as a dynamic, trackable code. See QR Code Types for details.
Organizing with Categories and Tags
As your QR code library grows, organization becomes critical. QRelix provides two tools for this:
- Categories — Group codes by campaign, department, location, or any structure that fits your workflow. For example: "Spring 2026 Campaign," "Office Locations," or "Product Packaging."
- Tags — Add labels for quick filtering and search. Tags are flexible — a single code can have multiple tags like "print," "restaurant," and "menu."
Use the search bar and filters on your dashboard to find codes quickly, even when managing hundreds.
Duplicating Codes
Need a variation of an existing code? Duplicate it instead of starting from scratch:
- Select the code you want to copy.
- Click Duplicate.
- Modify the content, design, or settings as needed.
- Save the new code.
Duplicating is useful for A/B testing different destinations, creating location-specific variations of the same campaign, or testing design changes before applying them to the original.
Status Management
Toggle any QR code between two states:
- Enabled — Active and functioning. Scans redirect to the destination normally.
- Disabled — Paused. Scanners see an inactive message. The code still exists in your dashboard with all its analytics history intact.
When to disable instead of delete: If there's any chance you'll reactivate the code later, disable it. Deleting removes the code and its analytics permanently. Disabling preserves everything and lets you bring it back with one click.
This is particularly useful for seasonal campaigns. Disable the code after the campaign ends, then re-enable it next year with an updated destination.
Bulk Operations
When managing a large number of codes, individual edits can be time-consuming. Use your dashboard's bulk selection to enable, disable, or organize multiple codes at once.
Re-downloading
Download any QR code again at any time in PNG, SVG, or JPG from the dashboard. If you've updated the code's design since the last download, the new download reflects the latest version.
See Downloading & Printing for format guidance and print best practices.
