What data does the app collect?

The app collects minimal data necessary for functionality:

• •QR Code Content: The information extracted from QR codes you scan (URLs, text, contact info, etc.)
• •Device Information: Device model, iOS version, and app version for technical support
• •Usage Analytics: Anonymous data about app features used (number of scans, which features are accessed)

Important: We do not collect personal information like your name, email, phone number, or location unless it's part of the QR code content you scan.

Is my camera data sent to your servers?

No. All camera processing happens locally on your device. When you scan a QR code, the camera feed is processed in real-time on your iPhone. We never receive or store raw camera data or video feeds. Only the extracted QR code information (like the URL or text) may be logged for analysis purposes.

What happens to the QR codes I scan?

When you scan a QR code using the "Analyze QR Code" feature:

1. The app extracts the information from the QR code (URL, text, contact info, etc.)
2. This information is displayed in the app for your review
3. The extracted data may be logged for analysis and improvement purposes
4. We may use this data to understand usage patterns and improve the app

We do not sell QR code scan data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Do I need to create an account?

No. The app currently does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. All scanning and analysis features are available without registration. This means we don't collect your email, name, or other personal details unless you choose to provide them.

Why does the app need camera permission?

The camera permission is required to scan QR codes. The app uses your device's camera to detect and read QR codes in real-time. Camera access is only active when you're using the scanning feature and is not accessed when the app is in the background. All camera processing happens locally on your device.

Is my data shared with third parties?

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. However, the app may use third-party services for:

• •Analytics: To understand app usage and improve features (anonymous data only)
• •Crash Reporting: To identify and fix app crashes (device info only, no personal data)

All third-party services are required to comply with privacy regulations and only collect necessary, anonymized data.

How long is my data stored?

Logged QR code scan data may be stored for analysis and improvement purposes. We retain this data as long as necessary to provide services and improve the app. If you have concerns about data retention, you can contact us to request deletion of your data (where applicable and feasible).

Can I opt-out of data collection?

Since the app doesn't require an account, core data collection is necessary for the app to function (scanning QR codes requires processing the QR code content). However:

Note that disabling camera access will prevent the app from scanning QR codes, which is the app's primary function.
