How it works

How to make a linkedin qr code

  1. Paste your profile or company page link

Copy your LinkedIn link and paste it in, or type the name from your profile URL and the tool builds linkedin.com/in/yourname. Company page links are kept as pasted.

  2. Choose colors and settings

Open the Design tab to pick a color preset or your own brand colors, set error correction, and choose the PNG size. A built-in contrast check warns you if your colors are too close to scan reliably.

  3. Test and download

Scan the live preview with your phone to confirm the right profile or page opens, then download a PNG for screens or an SVG for print. The code is made right in your browser.

  4. Optional: make it a Smart QR code

If you might change jobs, update your URL, or want to count scans, create a Smart QR code at /create-qr-code. You can repoint it after printing and see every scan. Free plan, no credit card.

Explained

What is a linkedin qr code?

A LinkedIn QR code opens a LinkedIn profile or company page when it is scanned. The code stores the page's web address, for example https://www.linkedin.com/in/yourname, and phones with the LinkedIn app open it there, where the connect and follow buttons are ready. Without the app, the profile opens in the browser.

Paste your full profile link, or type just the part after /in/ and the tool builds the link. To find it, open your profile in the app or on the website and copy the address or use the share option. A pasted company page link, such as linkedin.com/company/yourcompany, is kept exactly as you paste it, so the code opens the company page. LinkedIn lets you set a custom public profile URL in your profile settings; a short, clean URL makes a simpler code that scans more easily on a small card.

The code is static, so it never expires and has no scan limit, but the link cannot change after you print it. If you later edit your custom profile URL, codes with the old address may stop reaching you, so set it before you print cards. Some profile details are only shown to signed-in members, depending on your public profile settings. Print the code at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide and test it with an iPhone and an Android before printing.

Use cases

Where linkedin qr codes work best

  • Business cards

A code on the back of your card lets new contacts open your profile and connect in one step, with your experience and recommendations right there. It also saves them from searching a common name.

  • Conference badges and booths

Add the code to a name badge, lanyard card, or booth sign so people you meet can connect before the conversation ends. For a booth, link the company page so visitors can follow your updates and job posts.

  • Resumes and portfolios

A small code in the header of a printed resume takes a hiring manager straight to your full profile and recommendations. Keep it small and out of the way of the content.

  • Recruiting flyers and job fairs

Link your company page or careers content from a job fair table or flyer so candidates can follow and see open roles.

  • Presentations and speaker slides

Put the code on your final slide so the audience can connect with you while you take questions, instead of copying your name from the screen.

  • Freelancer proposals and leave-behinds

Freelancers and consultants can print the code on proposals and leave-behinds so prospects can check references and past work on your profile.

Static or Smart

Static linkedin qr code or Smart QR code?

What the free code on this page does, and what a QRelix Smart QR code adds.

  • A static LinkedIn code stores your profile or page link itself, so it never expires, but if your custom URL changes, every printed card points at the old address.
  • Static codes record nothing. You cannot see how many people scanned, when, or which card, badge, or booth they came from.
  • A QRelix Smart QR code encodes a short QRelix link you can repoint at any time, logs each scan with time, device, browser, and approximate location, and lets you add your logo, dot shapes, and corner styles.
  • The free plan includes unlimited Smart QR codes and the full analytics dashboard. Each free code gets 20 scans a month and shows a brief QRelix screen before forwarding; Pro lifts both for $5.99 a month.

FAQ

LinkedIn QR Code questions

How do I make a QR code for my LinkedIn profile?
Copy your profile link from LinkedIn, paste it into the field above, and download the code as a PNG or SVG. You can also type just the name from your profile URL and the tool builds linkedin.com/in/yourname. There is no account to create. If you want scan counts or an editable link, create a Smart QR code at /create-qr-code.
Where do I find my LinkedIn profile URL?
Open your profile on the LinkedIn website and copy the address from the browser, or use the share or contact info option in the app. You can set a custom public profile URL in your profile settings, which gives you a shorter, cleaner link. Set it before you print, since the code stores whatever URL you give it.
Can I make a QR code for a LinkedIn company page?
Yes. Open the company page, copy its address, which looks like linkedin.com/company/yourcompany, and paste it in. The tool keeps a pasted company page link exactly as it is, so the code opens the company page instead of a personal profile.
Does a LinkedIn QR code open the app?
Yes, on phones with the LinkedIn app installed. The code stores a standard linkedin.com link, which iPhone and Android hand to the app. Without the app, the profile opens in the browser, where some details may only be visible after signing in, depending on your public profile settings.
Is this different from the QR code in the LinkedIn app?
Both open your profile. The difference is that this tool gives you a clean image file you control: a PNG for screens or an SVG that stays sharp at any size for print shops, in your own colors. The in-app code is handy for showing your phone to someone in person; a file is what you need for cards, badges, and signs.
Can I track scans of my LinkedIn QR code?
Not with the static code from this page, which sends the phone straight to LinkedIn. A QRelix Smart QR code records each scan with time, device, browser, and approximate location, so you can see which event or card works. The analytics dashboard is included on the free plan.
What size should a LinkedIn QR code be on a business card?
At least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, with a clear margin of white space around it. A short custom profile URL makes a less dense code that scans better at that size. Use the SVG for print, and test-scan a printed proof with an iPhone and an Android before ordering a full box.
