How it works
How to make a snapchat qr code
Enter your Snapchat username
Type your username, without the @. The tool builds your add link, snapchat.com/add/yourname, and the live preview updates as you type so you can scan it from the screen.
Choose colors and settings
Open the Design tab to pick a color preset or your own colors, set error correction, and choose the PNG size. A built-in contrast check blocks downloads when the colors are too close to scan reliably.
Test and download
Scan the preview with your phone to confirm it opens your add page, then download a PNG for screens or an SVG for print. The code is made right in your browser.
Optional: make it a Smart QR code
If your username might change, or you want to see how many people scan, create a Smart QR code at /create-qr-code. You can change the destination after printing and see every scan. Free plan, no credit card.
Explained
What is a snapchat qr code?
A Snapchat QR code opens your Snapchat add page when it is scanned. The code stores the link snapchat.com/add/yourname, and the phone's camera hands it to the Snapchat app if it is installed, where the scanner sees your profile and an Add button, or opens it in the browser if it is not. Nobody has to type your username or guess at its spelling.
Snapchat has its own scannable code, the Snapcode, which is read from inside the Snapchat camera. The code on this page is a standard QR code instead: any iPhone or Android camera recognizes it, so it works on flyers, posters, and packaging for people who do not open Snapchat first. It is static, so the link is written into the pattern; it never expires and has no scan limit, but it cannot be edited or counted after you download it.
Your username is shown on your profile in the Snapchat app, next to your display name; use the username, not the display name. Snapchat lets you change your username, and if you do, a printed code points to the old one, so settle on it before printing. Print the code dark on a light background with a clear margin, at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, and test-scan it with an iPhone and an Android before printing a batch.
Use cases
Where snapchat qr codes work best
Brand and creator stickers
Put a code on stickers, merch tags, or the back of a phone case so people who like your product or content can add you in one scan. A standard QR code works for people whose first move is the phone camera rather than the Snapchat app.
Events, parties, and festivals
Add a code to wristbands, signage, or a photo-booth backdrop so guests can add the host, the venue, or the event account and share their snaps. Print it large enough to scan from a few steps back.
Campus clubs and student groups
Put a code on club fair tables, posters, and flyers so new members can add the club account on the spot. It is faster than spelling out a username across a noisy room.
Restaurants, bars, and cafes
Add a code to table tents, receipts, or the door so customers can follow behind-the-scenes snaps and specials. Pair it with a short line that says what they will see, like daily specials or event nights.
Retail shopping bags and receipts
A small code on bags, receipts, or packing slips gives customers a quick way to keep up with drops and restocks after they leave the store.
Sports teams and fan nights
Put the team account on game-day programs, ticket stubs, or arena signs so fans can follow along with snaps from the sideline and the locker room.
Static or Smart
Static snapchat qr code or Smart QR code?
What the free code on this page does, and what a QRelix Smart QR code adds.
- A static Snapchat code stores your add link permanently. If you change your username, every printed copy points to the old one.
- Static codes record nothing, so you cannot tell how many people scanned or which sticker, sign, or flyer brought them.
- A Smart QR code from QRelix encodes a short QRelix link you can repoint at any time, logs each scan in an analytics dashboard, and lets you add your logo and dot styles.
- The free plan includes unlimited Smart QR codes. Each code gets 20 scans a month and shows a brief QRelix screen before forwarding; Pro lifts both for $5.99 a month.

FAQ
Snapchat QR Code questions
- How do I make a QR code for my Snapchat?
- Type your Snapchat username into the field above, without the @, and the tool encodes your add link, snapchat.com/add/yourname. Scan the preview to check it, then download a PNG or SVG. It is free, needs no account, and the code is generated in your browser.
- What is the difference between a Snapcode and a Snapchat QR code?
- A Snapcode is Snapchat's own scannable code, designed to be read from inside the Snapchat camera. The code from this page is a standard QR code holding your snapchat.com/add link, so the regular camera on an iPhone or Android can scan it too. Use the standard code on print where people may not open Snapchat first.
- Where do I find my Snapchat username?
- Open Snapchat, tap your profile icon, and look under your display name: the username is the handle shown there. Use the username, not the display name, since only the username appears in your add link. Check the spelling by scanning the preview before you download.
- Does the Snapchat QR code open the app?
- On phones with Snapchat installed, the operating system normally hands the link to the app, which shows your profile with an Add button. Without the app, the link opens your page on the Snapchat website in the browser.
- What happens if I change my Snapchat username?
- A printed static code keeps pointing to the old username, so it may no longer reach you. If a change is possible, use a Smart QR code from /create-qr-code instead: you can repoint it to the new username without reprinting anything.
- Can I track how many people scan my Snapchat QR code?
- Not with the static code from this page, which goes straight to Snapchat. A Smart QR code from QRelix records each scan with time, device, browser, and approximate location, and the analytics dashboard is included on the free plan.
